In February 2023, I received the great honor to travel to the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival in Doha, Qatar. This is a world-class event held under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Connecting with Scott Bailey, owner of ArabHorse.com over a passion for marketing, travel, photography and horses, I was selected to participate in this epic cultural experience. Sponsored by Qatar Airways and C Jarvis Insurance Agency Inc. My journey departed with Qatar Airways from JFK and arrived in DOH, where I was greeted with black car service and a luxury stay in the Intercontinental Hotel, and panoramic views in Doha.
This opportunity of a lifetime allowed me to expand my cultural awareness and shared passion with equestrian enthusiasts, connecting with people from all over the world. The goal of the trip was to capture photography for promoting future events, entertain guests and highlight the luxurious experience of award-winning Qatar Airways.
Outfitted with a press pass and my Nikon D3300, I had the unique privilege of going behind the scenes, up and close into the stables with owners of some of the most magnificent Arabian Horses, I have ever seen. This unique opportunity to photograph and entertain equestrian royalty from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Brazil was a dream come true.

A week spent in Doha was a dream, I truly felt like royalty with the incredible service and accommodations. As the show and auctions came to a close, I took the opportunity to explore the Souq Waqif for some shopping in the Peal District, absorbed the luxury of the prestigious Galleria Lafayette and made a trip to Mall of Qatar to visit colleagues at Fendi. The wealth of Qatar is beyond comparison.
In addition to Qatar’s rich cultural heritage, the desert landscape meets the Persian Gulf for incredible sunrise camel rides, afternoon Dune surfing, and off road SUV excursions.
